My Love for Skincare!!

Image
So I thought I'd give reviews a break and post something about my love for skincare πŸ’— I've been a skincare junkie for the last 3 to 4 years. Before I got into it I never cared much about skincare or ingredients or benefits... All this was just meh to me πŸ˜’ Then one day I walked into Lush and tried their Mask of Magnaminty. The results were unlike anything I'd tried before. It was the real thing! I was so drawn to Lush after this mask that I went on a berserk shopping spree. I quickly got their clay face cleansers, sea salt scrubs, shower conditioners, soaps... the list goes on. I got into reading more about how they make their products, their super rich ingredient list, benefits etc and within no time I found myself making some body butters and distributing it to my friends. I was amazed with the responses I got. Some of them said I was even better than Lush 😎 I soon realized the power of natural ingredients in skincare. This was the REAL stuff...

Forest Essentials Eladi Teenage Day Cream Review

Image
Eladi day cream is part of Forest Essential’s new range and is meant for teenagers to tackle their teenage skin problems. I’m sure this could suit anybody with skin problems just as well and I picked one up since I was in dire need of a day cream with SPF. A lil on Eladi Cream:  Eladi Thailam is an Ayurvedic hair oil used for skin conditions.    It is used in treatment for skin diseases like allergic dermatitis, ring worm infection, urticaria. It is also used to improve skin complexion and texture. It is used for external application for skin detox treatment. What does FE have to say about this cream: “According to the Kashyap Samhita, an ancient scripture of Ayurveda, a woman is known as Yuwati from 13 years onwards. Eladikeram day cream with SPF 30 is enriched with Mukta Pishti specially designed to regulate sebum production, balance and hydrate the skin while protecting it from environmental damage. The prec...

SKINFOOD Black Sugar Honey Mask Wash Off- Review!!!

Image
SKINFOOD is an established Korean skincare brand and roots itself in food. The brand works around the philosophy of using food for healthy skin and all of their products have food as their key ingredients. You can say SKINFOOD is Korea’s LUSH. Their ingredients however are not as clean as LUSH. Being such a skin care junkie I had to try SKINFOOD and the first product I purchased was their Black Sugar Honey Wash off Mask. I got this on Souq and it didn't cost much. I believe this was for about AED 40. It's a wash off mask featuring organic black sugar granules for exfoliation, and rich honey that softens skin for a clean, smooth complexion. My Experience: This mask smells delicious... I mean lick worthy delicious. I could see the honey floating on top of the mask. It even looked edible to me. You have to mix the honey and sugar bits before you apply it. I used my sanitized finger straight into the pot and stirred the whole mixture until it...

Lush Mask of Magnaminty Review!!

Image
Ola Lovelies!! Think its very obvious that I'm hopelessly in love with Lush and their products are so unique and unmatched that I don't think I will ever grow out of them ♥♥ Today I'm going to review the ever famous Mask of Magnaminty and this is the very first mask that I tried from Lush! TBH I just picked this one up because it was talked about so much and in comparison to the fresh face masks this had a much longer shelf life! What does Lush say about this mask? " Easily smoothed over the skin, this mask is made with peppermint oil to stimulate, marigold oil and chlorophyllin to treat the skin; evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to gently exfoliate as you wash it away. There’s mineral rich kaolin to nourish, honey for its antibacterial properties, and we used just the right amount of peppermint oil to stimulate blood cells under the surface of your skin and leave your skin looking bright and refreshed." Ingredients List: ...

Now Smell This-- Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede Perfume!!

Image
X: What's your favorite perfume?  Me: Ummmm... Guilty for now.  X- Not Bad. I like Guilty too.. but my fav one is MadmoiselleπŸ’• Me- I don't think I love any perfume enough to call it my favorite. X- Just stares at me with a weird face. I have been in this place for the longest time until I stumbled upon Jo Malone Peony and Blush suede. It's a funny story though. I loved Loccitane's Cherry Blossom EDP and wanted something similar with better spillage and lasting power. I googled my way through so many scents and dupes for it and somewhere on a random website I found a comment left behind to check out Jo Malone's Cherry Blossom version. Cherry Blossom however is a limited edition version and the closest scent they have to cherry blossom is Peony and Blush Seude. I'm so glad I took some time off and popped into their store at Mall of the Emirates. A quick glance at the store and I knew this was going to be an expensive purchase. Funny how ...

Refectocil Brow and Lash Tint- Review!!

Image
Is there any girl in Dubai who is not crazy about those dense brows? Anyone? Does any girl step out of the house without doing her brows? Eyebrows must always be on fleek!! With this whole brow frenzy going on and the added chore of filling them in everyday, I had to look for an easy way out. There were many options but most of them expensive and not worth it. Heard of micro-blading? It's better than an eye brow tattoo but you shell out around AED 1200 for this. Tattoo looks too artificial IMO so its a NO NO for me. So what am I left with? Easiest available options were Henna and Color (dye). Temp solutions but worth a try. In comes "Refectocil Brow and Lash Tint". This product is cruelty free, not tested on animals and Vegan πŸ˜ŽπŸ’ƒ I got my kit on E bay for around AED 80 and the kit included the tint cream, the developer and a mixing container. Chose shade no.3 which is dark brown and after being equipped with a couple of YouTube videos I w...

A lot has been said about Black Seed Oil also known as Kalonji /  Nigella Sativa. Black seeds have been used in Ayurveda in numerous ways and one of the ways is as a 'hair oil'. Why is this so powerful and raved about so much? Black seed oil assists in restoration of hair loss. It possesses anti-microbial and anti-oxidant properties. It strengthens hair follicles and hair roots. Makes your hair incredibly soft. Black seed oil also assists healing of the skin.  Besides having Hair and Skin Benefits, Black Seed Oil has multiple health benefits like aiding weight loss, treating fever, relief from gas, stomach cramps and pain. You will need: 1/2 cup black seeds 1/2 cup fenugreek seeds / Methi seeds 500 ml Coconut oil Dry roast the seeds and...
