My Love for Skincare!!

So I thought I'd give reviews a break and post something about my love for skincare 💗
I've been a skincare junkie for the last 3 to 4 years. Before I got into it I never cared much about skincare or ingredients or benefits...

All this was just meh to me 😒

Then one day I walked into Lush and tried their Mask of Magnaminty. The results were unlike anything I'd tried before. It was the real thing!
I was so drawn to Lush after this mask that I went on a berserk shopping spree. I quickly got their clay face cleansers, sea salt scrubs, shower conditioners, soaps... the list goes on.

I got into reading more about how they make their products, their super rich ingredient list, benefits etc and within no time I found myself making some body butters and distributing it to my friends. I was amazed with the responses I got. Some of them said I was even better than Lush 😎

I soon realized the power of natural ingredients in skincare. This was the REAL stuff. The skincare industry is so contaminated it was difficult to fathom that I was using it for the last 25 years.
Almost everything in the market has mineral oil and by products of petroleum in them.
All of them are super harmful for your skin and I didn't have a clue.

Post my skincare adventure and a series of DIY's I decided to come out with my own brand. I decided to use Ayurvedic principles and mix it with my DIY projects. It wont be traditional ayurveda but a fun mix of natural ingredients with Ayurvedic herbs/treatments and crazy DIY ideas.

It took me about 3 years to figure out a plan on how to launch my brand.... Yes 3 years you read it right! A word of advice for any entrepreneur- have loads of patience!! I didn't know anyone in this business to give me any heads up or to help me with this start up. Finding my way through stringent rules and regulations that covers drugs and cosmetics was crazzyyyy.

I eventually figured that I cannot make my products on my own and sell it commercially without proper licensing and a manufacturing unit. To cut short the investment, I desperately needed a good manufacturer to deliver everything I had planned in my head. I have to say it isn't easy for a start up. Just the whole process of starting up and putting your foot in the business is painful and time staking.
I started drowning in MOQ's, R&D fees, initial costs, reluctant manufacturers... I almost gave up.
Having figured a few things myself and curbing my ambitions to understand how I can commercially make sense to a customer made life a bit easy.

It's been four years since and I'm still en route in launching my range but I'm more excited, more clear and more ready than I've been before. I will be starting with an exciting range of gourmet soaps and jelly face washes to begin with. 😎😎😉

More on it will follow soon!!

Till then..
