LUSH- The Olive Branch Shower Gel Review!!

If anyone knows how to perfume your body it has to be LUSH.... There is so much thought put behind every product they make.
Olive branch is made with such lovely ingredients its worth every penny. Vine leaf infusion, Fair trade Olive oil, Orange flower absolute, fresh Mandarin Juice... and of course the sulfates. (why don't you stop using them LUSH?)

The fragrance used in Olive Branch is one of their best and if it's your first time with Lush shower gels give this one a try. Like with most of their products the scent of Olive branch borders around woodsy and spicy base notes with floral and citrus top notes. If you're a sucker for masculine scents you will LOOOOVE this!! I say LUSH needs to build a range around Olive branch. Please throw in some body lotions, soaps, bath bombs, shampoo bars and conditioners with this scent.... It's that Awesome!!

As much as I enjoy this shower gel I find it a bit drying and I decided to 'super fat' it.  If you enjoy a moisturizing body wash I'd suggest you do this too. Out comes my shea butter tub and some raw unprocessed argan oil (ooohh I love these goodies that are untouched and oh so virgin) heat it together in the microwave in twenty seconds bursts until the shea butter is all desolved. Now sit back patiently until your oil mix cools down to room temperature. This step is important before you mix the oil with the shower gel or else the shea butter will get gritty if added hot to the shower gel.

Next step- Add the oil mix to the gel once cooled and gently shake the bottle to blend them together. The color of the gel changed for me at this stage and honestly it didn't matter. Left it to mix overnight and voila I've turned Olive branch into a lovely moisturizing shower gel.

Work of a genius I say!!

After increasing the 'fat' percentage in any soap/gel it won't lather as much as it did before so you will have to play with this a little. I go with a 50:50 ratio and the lather is very light but the gel turns out to be very moisturizing. I'd suggest you go with a 60:40 or 70:30 ratio if you want it to lather more.

P.S- Natural Oil's tend to separate so make sure you shake the bottle before you use it if this happens.
